Abstract
Disorders affecting ciliary function produce noticeable and sometimes serious effects. In heavy smokers, ciliary impairment hampers normal transport of mucus toward the pharynx. In persons with certain genetic anomalies, the abnormalities in ciliary motion are much more extensive. They may involve the entire body and be expressed as infertility in men. Keywords
