Television Observations of Faint Meteors--II Light Curves

Abstract
Observations of very faint meteors provide a test of the theories of meteroid structure. With a low-light-level television system which we have developed we have made such observations and found that the solid compact meteoroid model must be abandoned. Our observations, which are in good agreement with the radio results of Verniani, give a vertical train length of about $$6\cdot7\,\pm\, 0\cdot7\,\text{km}$$.
