Abstract
Summary 1) The literature on schistosomiasis in South-west Arabia is briefly reviewed. 2) Transmission of urinary schistosomiasis by Bulinus beccari in the coastal plain of Aden and by Bulinus reticulatus in the middle heights in Upper Aulaqi State is demonstrated and supported by laboratory experiments. 3) Experimental infections of Bulinus truncatus with both of the Aden strains of Schistosoma haematobium have failed to develop. Keywords
