Abstract
To characterize isolates further within the SIVagm subtype, we studied four SIVagm isolates by cross‐hybridization, molecular cloning, and nucleotide sequencing. Our results indicate an unexpected degree of genetic variation among isolates within the SIVagm subtype comparable to the variation between SIVmac and HIV‐2.Keywords
