Abstract
Tumor lysis syndrome (TLS) is an oncologic emergency in which tumor cells are lysed, either spontaneously or in response to treatment, releasing their intracellular contents and resulting in metabolic disturbances like hyperuricemia, hyperkalemia, hyperphosphatemia, and hypocalcemia.
