Abstract
When unfixed frozen sections of nerve ganglia from the fatty tissue anterior to the aorta are treated with the periodic acid Schiff''s reagent, some of the included nerve fibers develop color while others do not. Paraffin embedding removes the faculty of selective coloration. No special characteristics of the nerves have been found which can account for this property. Positive reactions have been noted in nerve fibers of other tissues. Keywords
