Virus-Specified Changes in the Sugar-Transport Kinetics of Rat Embryo Cells Infected With Murine Sarcoma Virus2

Abstract
Rat embryo cells transformed by the Harvey strain of murine sarcoma virus showed alterations in the transport characteristics of glucose and several other sugars. These changes were similar to those previously reported for sarcoma virus-transformed mouse cells. Hamster and human cells infected in similar fashion showed neither transformation nor changes in the kinetics of sugar transport.
