Abstract
The second order dielectric constant of a copolymer of vinylidene cyanide and vinylacetate is presented as a function of a bias electric field. The results suggest that the polarization reversal occurs in the copolymer with a polarization-electric field hysteresis. The polarization reversal switching time of the copolymer is observed from the temporal change of the linear dielectric constant and is found to be much longer than that of conventional ferroelectric polymers. These facts suggest that this amorphous copolymer behaves like a ferroelectric material with a long relaxation time of polarization reversal. Keywords
