Abstract
The range of subinhibitory activity of amikacin, a new aminoglycoside antibiotic, against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Klebsiella pneumoniae was determined using a turbidometric method. Concentrations of amikacin up to 32-fold lower than the MIC to Pseudomonas aeruginosa and up to 8-fold lower than the MIC to Klebsiella pneumoniae were still active. Keywords
