Abstract
Two raters scored the verbal interactions of two aphasic patients and their spouses into 15 concurrent response categories. These simultaneously recorded response categories include such characteristic deficit areas in aphasic patients as word production, sentence production, relevance and unclear and perseverative utterances. An over-all product-moment r of .98 was obtained between the ratings of the judges. The usefulness to the aphasia researcher and to the speech therapist of recording data in this manner was discussed. Keywords
