Abstract
The quantal response curve for infectivity titrations is flattened when host organisms vary in their susceptibility to infection. An efficient test, based on likelihood considerations, is proposed for the detection of this effect. It consists in fitting the exponential curve, expected when there is no variability, and calculating a weighted sum of deviations about the fitted curve. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
