Abstract
Ultraviolet/visible light (UV/VIS) and differential refractive index (dRI) detectors have been and still are the most widely used column monitors in liquid chromatography. In the last two decades these two detection techniques have undergone remarkable evolution. Today, in UV/VIS detection, there are choices ranging from highly sensitive fixedwavelength detectors to photodiode-array, information-rich detectors with sophisticated computer-enhanced graphics. The dRI detector of today is a highly sensitive device. Today's dRI is more sensitive than the UV detectors available just a few years ago. Keywords
