Abstract
Perturbative corrections to the wave functions of the 16 n=2 positronium states are used to derive the n=1⇆n=2 radiative transition rates of a positronium atom moving in arbitrarily oriented electric and magnetic fields. Excess annihilation radiation resulting from laser excitation and magnetic mixing in n=2 positronium is calculated and found to be in accord with a recent experiment. Keywords
