Cyclic or alternate-day esotropia developed in a patient following strabismus surgery for intermittent exotropia, which resulted in a small overresponse or overcorrection. Surgery, aimed at the deviation on the esotropic days, resulted in binocularity and loss of the cyclic pattern. Keywords
