Abstract
Hyalinizing segmental vasculitis or livedo vasculitis (atrophie blanche) is a clinical entity with a distinctive immunohistopathologic morphology that can be distinguished from other forms of cutaneous vasculitis by histologic and direct immunofluorescent studies. Our studies showed that immunoglobulins and complement components (C1q, C3, and properdin) were localized in diseased vessel walls, suggesting an immune pathogenesis. Keywords
