ANGIOGRAPHIC DEMONSTRATION OF COMPLICATIONS RELATED TO THE SAPHENOUS AORTO-CORONARY BY-PASS PROCEDURE

Abstract
Our experience with the postoperative study of 50 saphenous-venous by-pass procedures has shown that a number of postoperative complications might affect either the veins or the coronary arteries. It is pointed out that the angiographic study must be tailored to properly diagnose and evaluate these complications. Among them one may find: occlusion of the graft; intimal hyperplasia; formation of false aneurysms; loss of coronary collaterals; occlusion of major coronary arteries; or myocardial infarctions.
