Abstract
Rat liver was incubated at 38[degree] in isotonic solns. both with and without glucose and both (a) similar to extracellular fluids, i.e., high in Na, low in K, Ca, and Mg, and (b) similar to intracellular fluids, i.e., high in K and Mg. Soln. (a) favored glycogen breakdown, soln. (b) glycogen production in 37 expts., providing the initial glucose did not exceed 0.3%.This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
