Abstract
Palladium-catalyzed arylation or alkenylation of 4-vinyl-2-azetidinones without ring opening can be achieved in the presence of n-Bu4NCl and AcOK in DMF. Reductive ring opening arylations were accompanied by arylation without ring opening in the presence of tertiary amine and tertiary phosphine instead of n-Bu4NCl and AcOK in CH3CN.Keywords
