Abstract
Twenty-one isolates ofAlternaria infectoria have been screened for their production of secondary metabolites for chemotaxonomic characterization. For comparison isolates ofA. tenuissima andStemphylium sarciniforme were also screened.A. infectoria andA. tenuissima had two unknown metabolites and none known metabolites in common.A. infectoria had two other unknown metabolites in common withS. sarciniforme. The positions of six unknown metabolites in the metabolite profile ofA. infectoria have been determined. UV-spectra and retention time indices of these six metabolites are given. Keywords
