Activation of Boron-Doped Diamond with IrO[sub 2] Clusters

Abstract
Deposition of small amounts of clusters on the boron‐doped diamond (BDD) surface dramatically enhances both the oxygen evolution reaction and the oxidation of organics in the potential region of water decomposition. The fact that electrode behaves similarly to type electrodes suggests that the clusters on the BDD surface act as redox catalysts in both oxygen evolution and organics oxidation. ©2000 The Electrochemical Society
