Abstract
Rabbit articular chondrocytes produce a chondroid matrix in subculture. This tissue was compared to articular cartilage by histochemical and electron microscopic techniques. Although both tissues were similar, the cytology of chondrocytes and the matrix structure of chondroid tissue appeared less mature. Keywords
