Abstract
As the occupational therapist on a community mental handicap team, the author was involved in the resettlement of adults with a mental handicap into the local community. This entailed close liaison with support staff responsible for the day-to-day care of the clients. The article describes various sessions and activities the author devised for use with the support staff to enhance their understanding of occupational therapy.Keywords
