Moray Eel Poisoning and a Preliminary Report on the Action of the Toxin

Abstract
Summary A comparison between the clinical picture of moray eel poisoning in man and the effects of the poison on laboratory animals indicates that they are the same. The toxin is soluble in water and acid methanol and is stable to the extraction procedures investigated. It is dialysable. Further identification of the chemical nature of the toxin was prevented by the limited supply of raw material.
