Abstract
Channel identification is an important issue in communications in order to eliminate inter- symbol interference (ISI) and to overcome performance degradation due to fading channel or multipath propagation. A new method is proposed in this paper, which uses a chaotic sequence generated by a logistic map as a probe signal and estimate channel parameters according to dynamics of the chaotic sequence. The new method outperforms the technique where the least square (LS) method is used with a white Gaussian probe signal. Keywords
