Abstract
The lifetimes of the Rb atomic levels n2S, n2P, n2D up to quantum number n=12 and of the 10, 11, 12 2F states were measured using pulsed dye laser excitation and a single-photon counting technique. Population by superradiance was applied for the excitation of the certain levels. Some data were determined by the measurement in Rb-rare-gas systems. The present results have been compared with the theoretical and experimental data given by different authors. Keywords
