Abstract
Summary: A survey of the pattern of growth, as revealed by the structure of the costo‐chondral junction, suggests that the great majority of infants dying in the neonatal period had intrauterine disease antedating labour. This involves approximately 60% of premature birth deaths and around 75 % of perinatal deaths at term. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
