Abstract
Prostatic carcinoma is second only to lung cancer as the most common cause of death from cancer in the United States for males over 50 years of age. In an attempt to facilitate early detection of prostatic cancer, a probe has been constructed and a radiopharmaceutical selected to assist the urologist during rectal examination of the prostate. Probe characteristics and data obtained from patients with and without prostatic carcinoma are presented. Keywords
