Abstract
This method estimates the distance to the detector of an object embedded in a scattering medium, by processing of time resolved signals relying on a photons-medium interaction model. These signals are obtained by a transillumination technique using time resolved detection of short laser pulses. In this study, the authors have used Marple's parametrical estimation algorithm, filtering into Fourier's plane and comparison with a scattering model into an homogeneous medium. The coefficients of the scattering model are determined by an 'ordinary least squares' method. Keywords
