Abstract
A procedure has been described which eliminates the interference due to tyrosine in Neuman and Logan determination of hydroxyproline. This makes possible the quantitative estimation of the latter in noncollagenous tissues, without the necessity of correcting for the tyrosine content. The hydroxyproline content of normal rat livers has been found to be 1.26 ± 0.13 mg. hydroxyproline per gram of dry, defatted liver. Keywords
