9 Fractures of the Os Calcis

Abstract
About 21 years ago Magnuson and Stinchfield6 predicted that no one method would be adequate for all fractures of the os calcis and that proper treatment would involve careful selection of treatments suited to the peculiarities of particular injuries. Having recently reviewed our experience, we have come to essentially the same conclusions. The purpose of the authors in this communication is to outline our present attitude on the value of, and the indications for treatment by early mobilization.
