Abstract
Investigations were carried out to determine whether the nutritional status of an animal changes the effect of ginseng extract. Incorporation of 14C-acetate into total lipid and the glycogen content in the liver were determined 4 h after the i.p. administration of ginseng extract (fraction 4) to rats. The results indicated a striking stimulation of metabolism in rats fed a fat-free diet. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
