Abstract
A 75 item instrument was developed to assess Student Attitudes Towards Work. Fifteen scales were derived, each based on 5 items in a Likert format. Analysis of responses from 1035 students in the ninth and twelfth grades showed what were judged to be high reliabilities (ranging from .46 to .70). Group differences based on age, sex, previous work experiences, and vocational ambitions lent support to the validity of the scales. Keywords
