Abstract
Homologous tendon and plain surgical gut were implanted in the livers of young adult rats. Homologous tendon produced little reaction and was resorbed in 3 months. In contrast surgical gut was resorbed in 3 weeks and the collagen fibers formed by the reaction around it disappeared in 7 weeks. Keywords
