Abstract
Noise radiation and scattering from a cylindrical mercury discharge plasma at microwave frequencies are studied experimentally and theoretically as functions of the electron density. Measurements are made both in free space and in a waveguide system at different values of the gas density and for different polarizations of the electromagnetic field. Keywords
