Abstract
This study identifies and analyzes some of the factors influencing the consumer's decision to use bank credit cards versus checking accounts. A model is developed to incorporate the costs of using different transactions vehicles into the consumer's decision process. The model is tested empirically with a cross section sample of consumers. Keywords
