Abstract
Summary: A case of Trichosporon beigelii infection in a patient with non-Hodgkins lymphoma that illustrates some of the associated diagnostic and chemotherapeutic problems, is described. Despite prolonged isolation of the yeast from blood cultures, the patient recovered from the infection after treatment with amphotericin B and flucytosine. Presenting features, diagnosis and monitoring of antifungal therapy in renal failure are discussed. Keywords
