Abstract
A prospective randomized trial (534 patients, 1969-76) was designed to determine whether radical mastectomy conferred advantages over modified radical mastectomy for breast cancer in terms of total survival, local recurrence, distant metastasis and disease-free interval. No significant difference in outcome was shown as regards these variables between the 2 treatments. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
