ISOTOPIC-GEOCHEMICAL MODEL OF ORE GENESIS IN THE MURUNTAU ORE FIELD

Abstract
The authors present a fluid inclusion study of the vein quartz, and use the results to characterize “isotopic-geochemical associations” in the Murun-tau deposit and the currently inactive Myutenbay prospect as well. They believe the potential is high for the discovery of more major ore bodies at depth. They incidentally suggest that their results cast doubt on the involvement of granitic magmatism in the mineralization.
