Sum Rules for Two-Nucleon Transfer Reactions

Abstract
Exact relations between two-nucleon overlap functions are first obtained. Restricting the two nucleons transferred to a single major shell, we then derive sum rules relating the difference between the sums of cross sections for two-nucleon stripping and pickup reactions on a given nucleus, to its single-particle occupation probabilities.Keywords
