Abstract
A method is proposed for finding a prolongation structure in the Wahlquist-Estabrook sense (1975) without using the concept of prolongation. The closure of this structure follows unambiguously from the analysis of a holonomy algebra for a connection in a fibre bundle associated with a given non-linear equation. Keywords
