THE INFLUENCE OF ENVIRONMENTAL TEMPERATURE AND SALTS UPON THE SURVIVAL PERIOD OF ADRENALECTOMIZED RATS

Abstract
An expt. using 284 rats showed that the survival period following adrenalec-tomy was lengthened by using a drinking solution of Rubin and Krick salt solution. High or low environmental temps. shortened life. Optimum temp. was 30[degree] C. Older rats, 51-75 gms, survived longer than younger rats, 37-50 gms.
