Abstract
Infection is a major cause of morbidity and mortality in burned patients. Strains of pathogenic bacteria prevalent in hospitals are the most important source of post-burn infection. A system utilizing germfree technics in the treatment of burned patients is described. A controlled series is necessary to determine the effectiveness of this technic in preventing post-burn infection and septicemia and its influence on morbidity and mortality statistics. Keywords
