Abstract
Fluorescein fundus photography permits division of the clinical picture of central serous retinopathy into 2 groups: a circumscribed point of fluorescein leakage from the middle of a serous retinal elevation, and a diffuse stain over the whole affected area. Fluorescein photographic examination, and histological finding and clinical observation of hemorrhagic forms of retinal elevation, leads to the conclusion that the disease is originally due to changes of Bruch''s membrane. Careful light coagulation of the leaking points results in healing the condition.
