Abstract
Using explanted humeri of late fetal rats, retinoic acid induced a dose- and time-dependent regression of cartilage. The retinoic acid-induced release of proteoglycan into the medium was blocked by inhibitors of RNA and protein synthesis, suggesting its dependence upon continuous RNA and protein synthesis. Keywords
