Genetic Control of Immune Responsiveness to a Glutamic Acid, Alanine, Tyrosine Copolymer in Mice

Abstract
Mice of various strains were immunized with a random terpolymer of glutamic acid60 alanine30 tyrosine10 (GAT10). The ability to produce significant anti-GAT10 antibody, detected by an antigen-binding assay, was possessed by mice of H-2a, H-2b, H-2d, H-2k histocompatibility alleles. Mice with H-2p and H-2s alleles were non-responders. Congenic mice that differed only at the H-2 locus responded according to their H-2 type.
