Abstract
A method is described for treating corticotrophin with periodate and subsequently with borohydride. This procedure would be expected to replace the N-terminal serine residue with a glycollyl residue. The product has been characterized by chromatography, low serine content in comparison with corticotrophin and absence of a N-terminal group. Its biological activities are reported in the accompanying paper (Boright et al. 1962).Keywords
