Abstract
Some theoretical and practical aspects of the subject are briefly outlined, with especial emphasis on the problem of the standardization of measurements. The technique of handling blood, and the various available methods of measuring its pH are discussed from the standpoint of practicability and accuracy. The best method of measurement of whole blood or plasma pH, as drawn, is afforded by the glass electrode. Keywords
