Abstract
An arteriosclerosis score was devised in an attempt to differentiate between vascular and ideopathic chronic brain failure. The score correlated closely with the ADL [activity of daily living] score, but not with SQ [mental status questionnaire] score, nor with a battery of psychological tests. There are close intercorrelations between certain psychological tests and the MSQ. A series of tests, their correlations with each other in a group of elderly people, difficulties in their administration and the practical problems inherent in assessing drugs [Piracetum] intended to be used in the prevention or treatment of brain failure are described. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
