A practical approach to service interactions

Abstract
A method developed to handle service interactions at the specification level in an intelligent network (IN) is discussed. The method uses a template for describing features based on the basic call state model (BCSM) and additional service processing (ASP) states. Potential interactions can be detected if two features have overlapped ASP control ranges with respect to the BCSM or if they have data dependencies.
