Abstract
The hyper‐Raman spectrum of calcite is measured with Nd–YAG laser excitation and single channel detection. The lines corresponding to the normal Raman inactive transverse and longitudinal optic phonons are observed. The hyper‐Raman cross‐section of these lines is measured. Keywords
